Overheard on a balcony near you

So tonight I'm sitting here on my balcony and there are two boys talking nearby. Is it sad that I am happy that they are so loud that I can overhear, and in the process practice my spanish? I actually cant make out most of what they are saying, but somehow it's really funny and it involves "El Metro" and "la escuela" (the subway, and the school). So that's tonight's random story from Santiago!

Dude! You can't start writing in Spanish because I won't have a clue what you're saying! Dang French classes! In hind sight, that was a pretty stupid choice.

Brad, glad to hear that you have made it safe and sound. I totally admire you!! I am with Jenny, no writing in Spanish, and I took 2 semesters!
