Spring is just around the corner

In addition to the 2.99" of rainfall we've received in Annapolis since Thursday morning (being nearly a 72-hr total, we haven't had much problems with flooding), during an afternoon walk around the stadium today, I was greeted with this:

**Convection**! Hurray! Yes, my meteo friends will be very quick to point out that it's marginal at best, but those are convective clouds (as opposed to stratiform) and are the first I've seen (or recall seeing) in Annapolis in 2010. Spring is just around the corner!

The Dover, DE radar valid around the time of the photos shows that indeed over on the eastern shore of Maryland there are convective showers - some with dBZ approaching 50.
